Lovenia heart urchin (Lovenia elongata)
This heart urchin came as a surprise! Such a sweet name too! I was taking photo of an elbow crab nearby when it suddenly emerged out of the substrate right before my eyes! Wiggling its way out of the substrate and seemingly waving 'hi' to me... I watched in fascination on how it moved, so much so that I couldn't hear my buddy calling out to me... :P
This little urchin was pretty active and moving around! Only to know that it actually wiggle out to burrow itself elsewhere! haha.. This is my first time spotting one (or should I say it found me!)... I'm so happy!
Just in time for CNY and Valentine's day... :D
