Fig for You!

After 6 months of hard work, reviews and revisions, I finally have this fig snail (Ficus variegata) article published out in Nature in Singapore! Find out more about the fig snails and their misnomers, plus some sighting information of this elusive snail on our beaches...

At the same time, a former colleague (Christina Belle) from the marine lab, too have published her article on the exotic Australian red-claw crayfish, Cherax quadricarinatus (von Martens, 1868) (Crustacea: Decapoda: Parastactidae) in Singapore. These crayfish are not found naturally in our freshwater bodies, hence the impact that it has on the environment might potentially be negative. Find out what Christina has found out about these crayfish on this link: http://rmbr.nus.edu.sg/nis/bulletin2010/2010nis099-102.pdf
